The items below are a selection of custom furniture built over the last 18 months.
Desk with undermount keyboard tray, computer cabinet, and 3 drawers
Alder Hutch with Vine Cut-outs and green interior wash This cherry trestle table was a great project for us! The buyers came to us looking for a piece that brought fine wood into their beautiful new home. We visited CS Woods in Garland, Colorado and picked out a 20 - 24" wide slab from an old cherry tree. The slab wasn't wide enough for the table top, so we cut thick planks and laid them out in an interesting pattern. The planks are joined by butterflies cut from Claro Walnut, a wood we also used for pins in the trestle base. The finish is boiled linseed oil and wax. In a few years the cherry will deepen in color and this will be a magnificent piece.
I particularly liked making this small desk. The three front drawers are set in a frame of wooden runners and kickers that allow them to be pulled all the way our without tipping. We like the clean, simple lines and flor cut-outs on the drawer fronts.
