                                                         "37 Single Door Cabinets
David Mapes, our chief designer and craftsman, is creating a distinctive line of furniture that we call Butterfly Designs.  The line features distinctive structural details, fine finishes, bold colors, and butterfly hardware and cutouts.  Butterfly furniture is fun to produce and to live with.

Construction materials and techniques are top notch.  We want these pieces to be functional and durable as well as beautiful.  David pours himself into every piece,  Butterfly Designs is his statement as an artist as well as a fine woodworker and craftsman.

Custom hinges and hand-painted wooden butterflies adorn each cabinet.

Although most of the pieces displayed here are finished in bold colors, we are experimenting with natural finishes and limited uses of color.  These pieces are also available without finishes.  One of our artist customers used a Butterfly cabinet as her canvas for a series of small paintings in the door panels.

Custom designs are available based on the general themes of the Butterfly Designs.
